We all know that auto accidents can happen every day. While some accidents are unavoidable, the majority of them can be prevented simply by using automobile safety. You may have heard about the recent incident where a woman caused an accident as a result of shaving her unmentionable areas. Here we find six unusual causes of auto accidents that occurred from not taking precaution on the road.
1. Observing Attractive Women- According to a new research study, it was believed that 900,000 auto accidents were caused from watching attractive women. Men who have diverted their attention to an attractive woman instead of the road have caused several collisions. The sad fact is that it wasn’t always real women walking by that caused the distraction. Some of these diversions were caused from billboards with appealing women on them. So guys, practice smart automobile safety by keeping your attention on the road and not the hot little thing walking alongside of it.
2. Apparitions- That’s right; some auto accidents have been blamed on the appearance of a ghost. Whether real or not, drivers who have claimed they saw a ghost resulting in the accident actually believe they experienced a strange phenomenon. In such instances, the only advice that could be offered is to remain calm so as not to join the undead.
3. Insects in the vehicle- One reported auto accident was believed to have been caused from an itsy bitsy spider. A woman noticed a spider in her vehicle which scared her to the point that she began driving recklessly and hit an oncoming vehicle head on. There have been a number of accidents reported as a result of the driver becoming frightened by an insect in their vehicle. Automobile safety would suggest you remain calm while pulling over and getting rid of the insect.
4. Particle from a Truck- Many accidents have been caused from equipment falling off of trucks. However, in one rare instance, a man was struck and killed from a gear piece that fell off a truck and went through his windshield. In such a case, this is considered a freak accident that could not have been avoided. You can practice automobile safety by keeping a safe distance from trucks that are hauling equipment or items that can come loose and fall off.
5. Lightning- Bad weather is never a safe condition to be driving in. While it’s very rare for a moving vehicle to be struck by lightning, it has caused auto accidents. A more common occurrence with lightning is that a bright flash could briefly blind a driver causing him to swerve and crash. A wise tip in automobile safety is to stay off the roads during bad weather if at all possible.
6. UFO Sightings- Believe it or not, some drivers have claimed they crashed as a result of sighting an unidentified flying object. In a few such cases, drivers have actually reported having no control over the vehicle during the paranormal experience. Of course, there has been no substantial evidence to prove this. Automobile safety precautions for such a situation? Be prepared for anything when you are driving, including flying saucers.
In any case, you should always practice automobile safety when on the road and abide by traffic laws. It is certain that there have been a number of unusual incidents that have caused collisions in the past and there will be more in the future. The key to remember in such cases is to learn by them. Having your full, undivided attention on the road can prove very helpful in avoiding an accident. Be aware of drivers around you to pick up on any suspicious behavior or foresee an accident from a distracted driver. It could possibly save your life.
