Good Driver Discount Policy

Eligibility Requirements
A person is eligible to purchase a Good Driver Discount policy if he or she meets all of the following criteria:
- Insured has been licensed to drive a motor vehicle for the previous three years.
- During the previous three years, the driver must not have more than one violation point count of the Vehicle Code. In other words, the insured must not be involved in an accident for which the driver was principally at fault, and that resulted only in damage to property will yield one violation point count.
- Must not have more than one dismissal of charges under the Vehicle Code in the 36-month period for violations that would have resulted in the imposition of more than one violation point count
- Was involved in an accident that resulted in a bodily injury or in the death of any person and was principally at fault.
Any person who claim to meet the criteria based entirely or partially on a driver’s license and driving experience acquired anywhere other than in the United States or Canada is presumed to be qualified to purchase a Good Drive Discount policy if the driver has been licensed in the United States or Canada for at least the previous 18 months and meets the criteria for that period.
The rate charged for a Good Driver Discount policy shall be at least 20% below the rate the insured would otherwise have been charged for the same coverage.
